Behold, the Lamb of God
He is hope,
He is love divine,
He his grace,
He is gentle and kind,
He is come to the world,
To take away our sins,
Behold, the Lamb of God
He is the Way
The Truth, and the Life
The Messiah
The Savior, The Light
He’s the Lord of Hosts
Here to liberate our souls,
Behold, the Lamb of God
For I have seen
And I declare
This is the promised Son of God!
Prepare the way
The way of the Lord
Sing praise for the
Prayers of all Israel are heard
Behold, the Lamb of God
Come to the water
And be baptized
Leave thy sins
And transgressions behind
For the man after me
Will make thy heart within thee burn
Behold the Lamb of God
For I have seen
And I declare
This is the promised Son of God!
Prepare the way
The way of the Lord
Sing praise for the
Prayers of all Israel are heard
Behold the Lamb of God
For we have seen
For we declare
This is the promised Son of God!
Prepare the way
The way of the Lord
Sing praise for the
Prayers of all Israel are heard
Behold the Lamb of God
What of Now?
If thou hadst been here
My brother would yet live
How couldst thou have tarried so long?
I know he shall rise
In days long ahead
But what of now? What of today?
I know that thou art the Son of God
But I am a daughter of man
And I know all will be well and these wounds will mend
But what must I do until then?
Dear Master, I don’t understand
What of now?
Though through the night grief endures
Joy cometh in the morn
But what if the night is too long?
Even now I believe
If Thou asketh God
He would give it to Thee
I know that thou art the Son of God
But I am a daughter of man
And I know all will be well and these wounds will mend
But what must I do until then?
Dear Master, I don’t understand
What of now?
In the end I believe
That Thou art the Christ
The Son of God who comes into the world
I know not all things
But I know Thou lovest me
Give me the strength to go on
The Sermon
Blessed be the lowly,
The broken and the meek,
Blessed be the humble,
Givers of mercy,
Makers of peace,
Blessed are ye,
Blessed are ye,
For God above knows sorrow,
Dejection, trial, and pain,
His heart of love is watered,
With tears that fall like rain,
Blessed is He,
Blessed is He,
The blessed, poor and meager,
Of Spirit and of Soul,
Blessed, those who hunger,
The thirsty and the mournful,
Blessed are ye,
Blessed are ye,
Your Father sees through shadows,
And His angels brave the dark,
The rejects and the outcasts,
Live ever in his heart,
Blessed is He,
Blessed is He,
Blessedness weighs heavy,
A privilege to endure,
And if ye be so blessed,
And keep thy heart so pure,
Through evil and aspersion,
Through hatred and lies,
Through malice and oppression,
Through persecutions rife,
Thou shalt see the face of God,
How blessed you’ll be,
How blessed you’ll be,
Come and See
He knew of my weakness
He knew of my sin
He knew of my folly
Yet I had not told Him
He knew of my longing
Of my thirsting soul
He offered living water
That I may thirst no more
I did not understand Him
This man of Judea
But as I beheld Him
My heart within me burned
How could this man a stranger
Know my very thoughts
He says he is the savior
The very son of god
How could this man forgive me
Not knowing me before
Yet knowing my transgression He said
Go and sin no more
Could this be the messiah?
The promised prince of peace?
Could this be our salvation?
Heavens reckoning?
Come and see the Savior
God’s own begotten Son
Come learn of life eternal
Come to Jesus, Come!
Come and see
All I Know
In shadows cast, my world was bound.
Bound by darkness, bound by doubt.
A veil upon my sightless eyes.
Longing for rest, longing for light.
Whispers reached me, soft and kind.
Of a man whose touch could heal the blind.
Could cure the lame and raise the dead.
Jesus was His name they said.
Did I dare to hope? Dare to dream?
That this man could my healer be?
I let that hope within me stay
That He’d come find me someday
I felt His presence drawing nigh,
He placed His hands upon my eyes,
He commanded me to rise and go
Wash myself in Siloam’s pool
I stumbled to the water’s edge,
And dared to dream, dared to hope,
I knew not this man, but something in my soul,
Knew He could heal me, make me whole.
With timid steps, I made my way,
The water cold against my skin,
I lower my face and wash my eyes
And slowly, slowly, I arise.
I still know not this man, nor who He claims to be
All I know is this:
I was blind
And now I see.
Master, the Tempest is Raging
Soon Enough
Soon enough,
We will say goodbye,
And this temple will be torn and tattered,
The Shepherd smitten,
And His flock marooned,
And the sheep left forlorn and scattered,
Then the veil will be rent in two,
And for a time, I’ll be kept from you,
Remember with this bread and wine,
Such is the price to claim you mine,
Even then, death cannot us deprive,
Of the sacred mem’ry of this blessed night,
After three days,
I will rise again,
And the reason for your sorrow will fade,
Soon enough,
Your tears will dry,
And the long night will give way to endless day,
The cords of death then will break,
And the gates of Hell tremble and shake,
And Heav’n and Earth forever sing,
Glory to God, our Lord and King!
Glory to God
Until then, think upon this night,
And remember me with this bread and wine,
What shall keep
Thee from my love?
A force below?
Or pow’r above?
Shall tribulation?
Or distress?
Shall hunger, thirst,
Or nakedness?
Shall powers of earth,
And Heav’n and Hell,
Or darkened skies,
Or oceans’ swell,
Can they combined,
Both foe and friend,
My fondness bruise?
My devotion end?
No depth nor height,
No shackles and cords,
Not death nor life,
No steel no sword,
Can stand between,
My heart and thine,
For I love thee,
And ye are mine.
A Centurion's Lament
'Twas I who dressed Him in scarlet
'Twas I who gave Him a crown
'Twas I who bowed the knee and said
Hail, the King of the Jews
We led Him to Golgotha
We gave Him wine to drink
We Placed the words above His head
“This is Jesus, the King of the Jews”
I watched as life faded from Him
“It is done” proclaimed His last breath
And as He died, I felt in my heart that he
Really was, the King of the Jews!
Truly this was the Son of God,
All that we waited for
Truly this was salvation
Truly this was our Lord
Could this be the price of freedom?
Could this be the worth of my soul?
Blessed
He stumbles through
The city streets
The wood lays heavy on his back
Crowds gather round
To scoff and scorn
And see the carpenter collapse
His friends watch from
A distance near
With aching hearts and silent tears
Under the weight
He falls again
Now they must watch their Savior’s end
Hosannas from
The week before
Were muffled by the sin and hate
The King of Kings
The Lord of Lords
Despised by those he came to save
The lame man’s legs
The blind man’s eyes
The woman’s blood
The dead man’s life
He healed them all
Through pow’r divine
Now they must watch their healer die
Hosannas from
The week before
Were muffled by the sin and hate
The King of Kings
The Lord of Lords
Despised by those he came to save
Though his hands and feet
They drove the nails
And hung him on that dreadful cross
Because of joy
Before him set
The Son of God then died for us
Hosannas ring
Out evermore
For that man who bled and died
For with his death
We find new life
Blessed be the name of Christ
I Believe in the Sun
I believe in the Sun, even when it's not shining,
I believe in Love, even when I don't feel it,
I believe in God, even when God is silent,
A Perfect Life
This night
The world
Lost a perfect life
A man of sorrows
A man of hope
Of new tomorrows
But not His own
And my heart is filled with grief
The Sun
Descends
And sinks below the sky
The day
Comes to its end
But in its wake
Leaves gold and red
Before it fades away
The flower
Begins to bloom
But its fragile life is short
With time
The leaves will dry
The petals wither
The flower dies
But the ground is left renewed
A candle
Burns away
As it gives its light
Just as the Son
Gives us grace
As He gives His life
Why
Do love and hope
Come at the price
Of a perfect soul
Farewell my beautiful babe
Until I too fade away
